Christmas Recap

The whole month of December seemed to go by so fast this past year. At the beginning of the month Kyle, went out of town for two whole weeks! Thankfully the kids were so good for me, and our little Elf on the Shelf, Mr. Jingles, was basically another parent in the house. We were so happy to have Kyle home though. To celebrate we took the girls to go deliver their letters to Santa, see the big guy himself, and visit Temple Square. It was sure freezing at Temple Square, but you just can't beat looking at those beautiful lights. Christmas came way too fast, but we enjoyed every minute of it. Both Anna and Claire were so excited for to Santa come. In fact, throughout the month of December, Anna kept waking up usually around 6:00 AM, because she just was so excited for the big day to come. Thankfully her sleeping is schedule is back to normal again. On Christmas Eve we pulled out the china (only once a year kind of thing), feasted on Christmas ham, opened Christmas jammies, and talked about the birth of the Savior. It seems to be more special each year as the girls get older to talk about why we celebrate Christmas. They understand it more and most importantly, they remember it. We also spent Christmas morning at our house, and then headed up to my parents for the rest of the day. It was such a fun day and we are excited for the new year. Now onto 2014!
