Tate's 1st Birthday

Our little man turned one year old on the 30th. I can't believe it has already been one whole year since he has come into our family. We had a fun, low key little party for him. We invited some family over to celebrate, and even though Tate can't talk yet, I know he truly loved it! Tate was one lucky boy, he actually got to eat from two different cakes in the same day. Our neighbors came over and baked him a cake, and then we had cake with the whole fam later that night. Eating those cakes was probably one of the greatest moments in his life so far. He was one happy boy! As he would eat his cake, he would take a huge chunk, hold it up to his mouth, and just constantly gnawing on it without dropping it. It was a riot to watch! For one of his gifts, we gave his some trucks that moved and shake. While the trucks shook, our little Tate shook too. The kid loves to dance, just like his Dad.
We have had so much fun with our little man this past year. I never knew how fun little boys were, and we feel so blessed to have him in our family. He always is making us laugh/smile. Here are few things that Tate has been up too lately:
- Still loves his blanket (used to be a blue blanket, but lost it, so now he has fallen in love with a hot pink blanket). Real men wear pink right? Or in Tate's case, drape it over himself.
- He is still not walking yet, but getting around by holding on to furniture.
- He loves to get into the dishwasher and "help" me.
- He absolutely loves any chance he can get to play in the toilet...gross I know. Bathroom doors have to be closed at all times.
- He likes to sing in the van.
- He still scrunches his nose when he smiles...melts my heart!
- He loves to play with his sisters, and they love to play with him, and pretend he is their dog.

We took Tate to the doctor's last week and here are his stats:
23 lbs 6 oz = 65%
30.5 in = 75%
Happy Birthday Tate! We love you!!
