Our Christmas Weekend

Last Friday we kicked off the Christmas weekend by taking the girls to go see the lights at Temple Square, and to get some pizza at The Pie. Despite being in the freezing cold, the girls loved to see all the lights, and it is always such a great way to really get into the Christmas spirit. On Christmas Eve we of course painted more of the house, (that is our Saturday ritual) and had our own family dinner. After dinner the girls opened up their Christmas jammies and put some carrots on a plate, placing it right next to the chimney for Santa's hungry reindeer. Christmas morning was so much fun and went by way too fast...as it always does. Kyle and I realized that the Christmas theme this year was Disney Princesses and pink, because that is basically all the kind/color of stuff the girls received. There sure is a heck of a lot pink around these parts, but we love it and wouldn't want it any other way! Later that morning we went to my parents ward and then to their house for Christmas dinner and presents. It was really neat too because the grand-kids were able to dress up in costumes representing the nativity scene. They all looked super cute! Well our Christmas was wonderful, and we feel so blessed and grateful for all that has happened to our family within the last year. We are excited for what 2012 will bring. Happy new year!
