Thanksgiving Festivities

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. On Wednesday Kyle was fortunate enough to get work off because of the big "blizzard" that was headed our way. The blizzard didn't quite make it to Provo as was expected, which I am perfectly fine with. So we were lucky to have Kyle home for 5 days with no work or school! On Thursday we were able to go and visit with Kyle's family and then go up to my Mom's house to have our delicious turkey feast. It was so yummy and I of course ate way too much. Friday morning Kyle was brave enough to do a little black Friday shopping. He went and stood in line at Target starting at about 2:15ish in the MORNING! He loves doing this. He says he likes doing it because it is survival of the fittest and he likes the excitment. Unfortunately he didn't get exactly what he wanted(40" HDTV and an Xbox), but he got what we needed...some toys for the girls. That evening we were able to go to our annual Lind Christmas party and do the famous white elephant exchange. Saturday was good/bad day. Good because we were able to get our tree and get our Christmas decorations up, bad because BYU lost to the U. BYU's loss was so devastating that Kyle threw our remote on the floor and broke it. It is now taped together. That is really the only game I watch throughout the season and I was devastated!! Oh well...maybe next year :(. Well this weekend was just what we needed: being with family, eating, shopping, sleeping, and eating. This is how far Kyle was away from the store. He is such a trooper! He stood in line for two hours in 5 degree weather!!
