Backyard Camping and British Field Day

A few weeks ago we wanted to get an idea of how our girls would handle the whole camping thing. So what better and easier way than to do it in your own backyard? Of course to kick off the night, we had to roast some awesome smores. After feeding the girls a whole heck of a lot of sugar, we let them watch a movie in the tent. We thought that they would only last maybe a half hour before falling asleep. Well that certainly didn't happen. They finished the movie, and at about 11:00 they both fell asleep. All in all they did really well (note to self for next time: avoid sugar and starting a movie at about 9:00 pm). In the pictures below, our poor little Claire took a nasty fall on her scooter at her buddies house. We thought her nose may have been broken. Thankfully after getting an x-ray it wasn't. She definitely had a wicked shiner though, but she still was as adorable as can be! The next day we went to Salt Lake to see some cars at British Field Day. We were really excited too because they had a Morris Minor there that was all refinished, and boy was it super cute!! After looking at the cars, we let the kids go on a couple rides in the park because they were so patient with their Dad looking at every.single.car. We had such a fun day and are getting even more excited to start working on our own Morris Minor.
